After a relaxing Sunday full of working on the blog, driving through Atlanta traffic and getting a facial I decided to do the unthinkable. What’s the unthinkable you might ask? Well I went and got a burger. Those who know me know I don’t really eat burgers. However, Sunday I was craving a big, juicy burger. The first place that came to mind was BurgerFi. BurgerFi is conveniently located in Emory Point surrounded by shopping and other restaurants (that I will be reviewing soon). BurgerFi also has a nice patio with a view of the iconic Atlanta Center for Disease Control (CDC).
I have been to BurgerFi before to get their frozen custard. By the way, if you’ve never had frozen custard now is the time to do so. BurgerFi takes their custard seriously. The custard flavors vary from peanut butter, brownie and even a red velvet flavor that will blow your taste buds.
BurgerFi is a great spot to grab a bite alone (which I did), a casual date spot or with your family. BurgerFi boasts of being ‘better naturally’. Their beef used does not have hormones or antibiotics, a plus for those health conscious individuals. The restaurant was extremely clean and the décor was modern and spacious. BurgerFi is a little pricy, so it’s not one of my budget friendly options. However, you do get what you pay for and you get 15% off if you’re an Emory University Student (for all of my Emory readers). Service is always friendly and food is cooked to order so I don’t mind the wait.
Of course my eyes were bigger than my stomach (therefore this review won’t include a dessert) so I ordered way more than I needed. As a warning fry sizes are extremely plentiful. I ordered the BurgerFi Bacon Cheeseburger. I added mushrooms and BBQ sauce. I also ordered a regular side of Hand-Cut Fries and added Parmesan + Herb and Garlic Aioli on the side. I highly recommend taking the fries to the next level by adding Parmesan + Herb and Garlic Aioli. BurgerFi also offers hotdogs, onion rings, beer, wine, and even a quinoa burger! If you are looking for a centrally located burger joint minus the excess grease, dirty interior and burnt oil smell commonly associated with your typical burger spot, then BurgerFi is for you. BurgerFi has modernized American classics and added health conscious decisions for all taste buds. Get away from the Downtown Atlanta scene and spend a few hours shopping and eating in the Emory Point area, it’s worth a try.
